Tickets go on sale for the annual Mercy Auxiliary Spring Luncheon
Cedar Rapids – The Mercy Auxiliary invites the community to celebrate the season at its annual Spring Luncheon scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The theme for this year’s event is A Tisket a Tasket – Put Hope in Your Basket.
Tickets for the luncheon will go on sale Thursday, March 27 in the 10th Street lobby at Mercy Medical Center , 701 10th Street SE , from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased by contacting the Mercy Volunteer Office starting Friday, March 28. The cost is $25 per guest.
Luncheon guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Bid It or Buy It basket auction featuring themes as Tool Time, Gingerbread, As American as Apple Pie, Iowa Heartland, The Final Season, Jewelry, Wine and Golf Time and more. A handout containing a complete listing of baskets is available at the Mercy Volunteer office, Mercy Gift Shop or when tickets are purchased for the spring luncheon. Theme baskets will be on display in the 10th Street lobby beginning the week of April 14. Participants may bid on baskets at that time by placing a silent auction bid or may purchase them directly for a designated price on April 17, 10 to 11 a.m.
In addition to the basket auction, door prizes and a festive meal, the Spring Luncheon features a style show highlighting the latest in seasonal fashions from local vendors such as Coldwater Creek, Higley’s On Second, Maya, Talbots, Joy, Four Seasons, Accessories on Main and Weekenders.
Raffle tickets may also be purchased at the time of the event for a wide variety of prizes.Proceeds from the event benefit the endowment fund at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
