Holiday events by Mercy Auxiliary
invite guests to ‘Believe in Miracles!’
Mercy Medical Center is decked out for the holidays as the Mercy Auxiliary presents “Mercy! Mercy! It’s Almost Christmas!” The theme for this year’s pre-holiday events, held November 9 & 10, in the Lundy Pavilion, is “Believe in Miracles.” In addition to a luncheon and style show on each day, the festivities include a North Pole Gift Boutique, open 9 a.m.–6 p.m in Mercy’s Hallagan Education Center.
Event Details
Thursday, November 9: (Tickets are sold out.) Guests are invited to a noon luncheon that includes a gourmet holiday buffet and an adult fashion show. The event, in the Lundy Pavilion, will include festive surroundings, holiday music and a fashion show featuring clothing from area retailers, and modeled by Mercy employees.
Friday, November 10: Tickets are still available for a holiday tearoom luncheon and children’s fashion show in the Lundy Pavilion, beginning at noon. “Mercy Cherubs” will model infant and children’s fashions from Cedar Rapids and Iowa City businesses. Tickets are $25.
North Pole Gift Boutique: The public is invited to shop amongst the treasures at the North Pole Gift Boutique November 9 & 10, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m, in Mercy’s Hallagan Education Center. Visitors are encouraged to check out the wide variety of handcrafted items, baked goods, holiday décor and floral arrangements. Live piano music and a basket weaving demonstration will add to the festive atmosphere.
