Fungal Air Screening Status

The results of the non-culturable fungal air samples collected indicate low overall levels or concentrations of airborne fungal contamination within the indoor sample locations compared to the outdoor control sample. This is a desirable result and is indicative of a “normal” non water impacted or affected indoor environment. Click here for the full report.

Happy Birth Day!

Mercy's Birthplace is open for business…and here's the proof!  Brock James Chapman was born at Mercy at 4:07 a.m. Thursday, June 26.  He is the first baby born at Mercy following the patient evacuation period that began June 13.  Parents Aaron and Monica Chapman of Cedar Rapids say they were happy to deliver at Mercy as planned.  Brock was anxious to arrive as well.  He was born just 45 minutes after the Chapman's arrived at the Birthplace.  Welcome Baby Brock!

Your support is appreciated.

More than 130 Mercy employees were personally affected by the recent flood disaster. To show our support, the Mercy Foundation has established an "Employee Flood Relief Fund." This fund is intended to help with immediate assistance as well as long-term needs as employees begin to rebuild and recover from the 2008 Midwest flood crisis.
