Dr. Sommerfeldt joined Mercy in September 2012 as the new Hospice of Mercy Medical Director.

Most recently, Dr. Sommerfeldt served as Assistant Medical Director at Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI, and completed her residency at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. She is fellowship-trained in hospice and palliative care medicine from Mercy Medical Center–North Iowa in Mason City.

Dr. Sommerfeldt joins Dr. Ken Cearlock and Dr. Cindy Hanawalt in providing the highest quality care to Hospice of Mercy patients and families.
