Mercy Medical Center is honored to welcome Board Certified General Surgeon, Dr. Nora Royer, to Mercy’s new full-time surgical practice in Cedar Rapids. Dr. Royer obtained her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She then went on to complete her surgical residency at the University of Iowa. Since the completion of her residency, Dr. Royer has been caring for patients as a General and Trauma Surgeon in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to her direct patient care duties, Dr. Royer maintained an academic appointment through the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

Dr. Royer will be the first surgeon in a newly established General Surgery practice offered to the community through Mercy Medical Center and the University of Iowa. The clinic will officially open January 10, 2013, and is located on the campus of Mercy Medical Center in the 8^th and 8^th medical office building.
