Why Volunteer at Mercy?
Volunteering at Mercy gives you a chance to meet new friends, join the Mercy family, enhance the lives of others and contribute to your community.
Mercy volunteers provide quality support services to patients, staff and the community with a positive, caring spirit compatible with the mission of Mercy Medical Center and the Sisters of Mercy.
Mercy volunteers are a key part of the Mercy Touch that makes Mercy a special, caring place. We will match your skills, talents and interests with roles that provide the chance to help others and enrich your own life. We are very flexible to accommodate varying schedules. Volunteer jobs vary from light clerical duty to data processing, delivering flowers, helping run Uncommon Grounds Coffee Corner (located by the 10thStreet entrance), serving as greeters at entrances - and more. Volunteers work in 2- to 4- hour shifts; the number of days varies.
Mercy offers a wide variety of ways to volunteer. You'll learn more about yourself, contribute to your community and Mercy will train you and accommodate your schedule to make it work.
