Dr. Vincent Reid, Medical Director of Surgical Oncology at the
Hall-Perrine Cancer Center, is conducting free oral/head and neck cancer
screenings to the community. In the U.S., new head and neck cancer
cases are diagnosed every 10 minutes with 85% being linked to tobacco use; the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) may be related to more than half of tonsil cancers. Signs include a sore in your mouth that doesn’t heal, sore throat, lumps or patches in your mouth, trouble swallowing, changes in your voice
or a lump in your neck.
