Mother Loss:  Grieving Daughters

A  grief education group being offered by Hospice of Mercy, designed especially for women who, as adults, have experienced the death of their mother.  It will be facilitated by Hospice Bereavement Staff, and is open to all bereaved, free of charge.

When an adult woman’s mother dies, she may experience:

• Changes in family structure and family dynamics
• Coming to terms with the concept of mortality
• Distress related to her unique experience of grief

Program Objectives

Over the course of the 4 sessions, participants will be afforded opportunities to more fully explore the impact of their mother’s death, receive support, as well as discover strategies for their own growth and healing.
