Disease Concept Lecture & Discussion
The objective of this session is for participants to gain a greater awareness and understanding of the chemical dependency disease concept. This session will include information from Dr. David Ohlms on the definition of disease, signs and symptoms of chemical dependency, treatment and causes of addiction. In addition, there will be information provided on recent research and how substances of abuse affect the brain.
*The format of the session will be informal, and questions and discussion are encouraged.
