Consumer Health Collection
The Watts Medical Library & Patient Resource Center provides resources to help individuals become better informed health care consumers and to assume personal responsibility in the management of a current illness or condition, prevention of illness, and promotion of wellness.
The library provides service for patients and families of Mercy Medical Center, visitors, employees, and residents of Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities, as well as physicians' offices and individuals referred by physicians and other professionals in the community.
Materials available in the Watts Medical Library include pamphlets, brochures, and books on health related topics. This service is provided at no charge to the patron.
Requests for information may be made to Sr. James Marie Donahue, Consumer Health Collection Coordinator, online, by telephone 319-398-6165, by fax 319-369-4524 , or in person. The Watts Medical Library & Patient Resource Center is located on the main floor of Mercy Medical Center, off of the 10th Street lobby. It is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
