Dr. Roger Allen

Dr. Roger Allen is helping the Mercy NICU write a whole new chapter in advanced care for newborns.   The most experienced neonatologist in Cedar Rapids, Dr. Allen brings a wealth of skill and experience to the Mercy NICU. 

Dr. Allen is a board-certified pediatric neonatologist, with more than 25 years of experience. His experience includes 18 years as the NICU director at Trinity Health, a regional referral center for premature infants and newborns in need of critical care and a recognized center for excellence.  Prior to that, he was director of the NICU at St. Luke’s Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa, and a staff neonatologist at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Allen has specialized in pediatrics, neonatal-perinatal medicine and neonatology throughout his career.
