What to Expect
As a patient at the Mercy Regional Cancer Center, you should expect honesty, compassion, experience, excellence and coordinated care in your treatment plan.
Some cancer patients describe their care journey as navigating a fragmented maze of uncoordinated services. A journey filled with anxieties, which become magnified while waiting for test results. A journey filled with confusion, which grows while listening to one doctor's opinion after another. A journey filled with weariness, which occurs traveling from one appointment to the next at numerous locations in different parts of town, the state and beyond.
Mercy is leading the way towards a shift in care that is integrated, timely, and coordinated around the patients' and families' needs. Working together, teams of specialists, located in one place at one time provide a simple comprehensive care plan.
We are excited about our most innovative and integrative vision yet and believe patients in Eastern Iowa will welcome a "raising of the bar" in terms of convenience, efficiency and clinical outcomes as the curtain rises on a new era of healing at Mercy.
