Before being diagnosed, Ric indicated that he just "didn't feel right." If you're not feeling well, or if you're experiencing some of these common signs and symptoms of diabetes, it's time to be checked by a physician.

Poor eating and exercise lifestyles can put anyone at risk. Some common risk factors of type 2 diabetes include:
- 45+ years of age
- Family history of diabetes
- Low physical activity level
- High blood pressure
