Mercy Fitness Center Guidelines


General Guidelines

  1. All participants must follow screening and assessment procedures. Individuals age 12 and over are eligible for memberships. Members under the age of 14 must join and be accompanied by an adult. Members under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  2. No unauthorized personal training or rehabilitation services are permitted. 
  3. Inform staff if there is a change in health status. 
  4. Membership cards must be shown at the front desk each time that you attend. 
  5. There is a $5.00 charge for replacement of lost membership cards. 
  6. Mercy Fitness Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 
  7. No foul language. No pets allowed in the facility. No spitting. Absolutely no smoking or use of tobacco products. No food, pop, and coffee are allowed. All water or juice bottles must be plastic and have lids on fitness floor.  
  8. Please keep all cell phone usage to a minimum. No camera or camera phones allowed. 
  9. Violation of any policy set forth by Mercy Fitness Center or any actions deemed inappropriate may result in the acting participants' membership being suspended or revoked. 
  10. Lockers are only for use while you are at the facility. Participants must remove their belongings when they leave. Locks are available to check out at the front desk. Coat racks are also available. 
  11. A telephone is available for necessary local phone calls; please limit call to less than 3 minutes.

Mercy Fitness Center

  1. All cardiovascular equipment is limited to 30 minutes when others are waiting. Sign up required on clipboard provided on each machine. 
  2. PLEASE replace all weights and equipment when you are finished. Do not drop weights unnecessarily. Allow other participants to "work in" between sets. 
  3. Please wipe off all controls, seats and railing using the supplies provided when you are finished with your workout. Please do not spray equipment directly. Report all broken equipment to personnel. 
  4. Proper workout attire is required. Shirt, athletic shoes, and athletic shorts or pants must be worn at all times. Shirts MUST be left on. 
  5. Clear pathways are to be maintained at all times. No personal belongings are to be left on the workout floor. Keep water bottles close to the equipment you are using. 
  6. No running on the track. No stretching on walking track. 
  7. No strollers or children under the age of 12 on the fitness floor except for Athletic Republic participants. 
  8. Radios and tape players without headphones are not permitted.

Guest Policies

  1. One year membership includes 4 free guest passes. 
  2. Three month membership includes 1 free guest pass. 
  3. Free guest passes are distributed at initial sign up. 
  4. Members may not bring the same guest more than once with a free pass. 
  5. Each pass is a day pass that is good for one individual for one day. 
  6. A member must accompany a guest using a free pass. 
  7. A guest under 18 must have written parental approval on Health History Form. No guest under the age of 14 unless parent is a member. No guests under 12 years of age. 
  8. Members are responsible for their guest's actions. 
  9. Additional guest passes may be purchased. Please ask for information at the front desk. 
  10. All guests must complete a health screening and liability waiver form and be authorized by the Health Fitness Coordinator on staff.
