Eastern Iowa Sleep Center

The Eastern Iowa Sleep Center (EISC), located on the 2nd floor of the Physicians Clinic of Iowa building, has merged sleep lab operations from St Luke’s Hospital, Mercy Medical Center , and PCI as of September 2007.

The EISC will offer consolidated services to patients & physicians in the area by increasing efficiency in scheduling, record keeping, & care coordination. As well, standardization in scoring & interpreting studies will lead to quicker & more accurate results.

The Eastern Iowa Sleep Center specializes in sleep related breathing disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), narcolepsy, nocturnal seizures, sleepwalking, restless leg syndrome (RLS), periodic limb movement, among others. Sleep studies are arranged through a specialist or a primary care doctor for adolescents & adults.

The studies are then read by a specialist who is certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) who follows up with the referring doctor & a treatment plan is outlined.
