Mercy Pain Management Services
One out of every three people will suffer chronic pain at some point in their lives. Some will believe their pain is just part of the aging process. But if you suffer from acute, chronic pain that interferes with your enjoying life, Mercy’s Pain Management Services may be able to help.
Our Pain Management Services team includes caring, experienced nurses and physicians who carefully evaluate each patient’s condition to determine the appropriate treatment. Five of our physicians are board-certified in pain management.
The team provides consultations and appropriate treatment for patients suffering from acute, chronic and/or cancer pain. The information, guidance and treatment we offer can help patients better manage and control their pain.
Our clinic on the 4th floor of Mercy Medical Center is private, easily-accessible and confidentiality is ensured.
Treatment Options
Mercy’s Pain Management clinic offers a variety of treatments, including narcotic and non-narcotic medications, injections and permanently-implanted devices. Our patients suffer from a variety of conditions, including:
- Degenerative joint disease
- Arthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Neuralgias
- Shingles
- Cancer
- Complex regional or myofascial pain syndromes
Most of our services are on an out-patient basis, but we also offer some in-patient care. Where appropriate, we make referrals to physical therapists, behavioral therapists and other specialists.
Sometimes, we make referrals to the Mercy Fitness Center or Nutrition Services to find an appropriate exercise plan and diet advice to help with recovery.
Most importantly, we understand chronic pain and how debilitating it can be. We know that, if left unaddressed, chronic pain can worsen over time.
We can help you manage your pain.
Patients must have a physician referral for an appointment with Pain Management Services.
