How does the Trim Kids program work?
Monitored by a group of experts including a registered dietitian and a fitness coordinator, families in Mercy's Trim Kids program are provided with the knowledge necessary to achieve their health goals.
Designed for the entire family, parents will learn how to motivate their families to make healthy lifestyle choices. Each session will provide for goal setting, brushing up on nutritional information and set aside time to try a new fitness activities. By the end of the program families will be well on their way to establishing healthy habits.
During this active program, families will spend six Saturday mornings at the YMCA in downtown Cedar Rapids (207 7th Ave. SE) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Knowledgeable, passionate experts will teach families practical ways to develop healthier lifestyles.
Trim Kids topics include:
- Label reading
