Simulation Laboratory

Mercy's simulation laboratory (the McIntyre Simulation Laboratory) gives patient caregivers a hands-on tool to practice and respond to emergent and real-life scenarios in a safe and controlled environment. The lab is identical to an actual acute-care patient room.

An entire family of advanced patient simulators – including newborn, multipurpose, comprehensive, and labor and delivery patient simulators – are designed to deliver exceptional training through an immersive experience. The Mercy Foundation is investing in this type of new equipment to advance education and professional development for Mercy staff.

The new advanced patient simulators are just one of several investments that Mercy makes into its clinical staff.
