Excellence in Leadership Award
Purpose:
This award recognizes outstanding healthcare leaders at Mercy who exemplify visionary leadership, inspire others, and advance the mission of Mercy through integrity, compassion, excellence and innovation.
To nominate, share specific examples of a leader who:
- Goes Above & Beyond: Acted without being asked to solve a problem, supported colleagues during a high-demand or crisis situation etc.
- Led a Specific Initiative: Identified a problem or opportunity; drove accountability and specific outcomes; etc.
- Demonstrated Measurable Change/Influence: Produced clear, quantifiable, or objectively verifiable improvement in outcomes, performance, experience or culture as a direct result of their leadership actions.
- Fosters Collaboration Across Departments to Achieve Shared Goals
- Mentors, Motivates & Empowers Teams
- Achieves & Sustains High Standards in Quality, Safety &Patient Experience
- Embodies the ICARE values
Eligibility:
Mercy Physician Services and Mercy Medical Center leaders in leadership roles (supervisors and above) who have served at least one year in a leadership capacity at Mercy.
