- Support patients throughout their gastroenterology care journey, from clinic visits through diagnostic testing and treatment coordination
- Triage patient concerns by phone and in person, answering questions and determining when provider intervention is needed
- Provide patient education related to GI conditions, procedures, medications, and treatment plans
- Manage medication refills, specialty medications, biologics, and treatment-related communication
- Room patients, obtain histories and vitals, and prepare patients for provider visits
- Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, testing, and procedure scheduling
- Assist with clinical procedures, injections, specimen collection, and other patient care tasks
- Communicate test results and provider recommendations to patients
- Document accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record (EPIC)
- Collaborate closely with providers and teammates to ensure safe, efficient patient care
Preferred, not required: previous experience in a medical office or specialty clinic setting
