MercyReady is a nursing education assistance program that can put you on a path to starting your nursing career debt-free. Mercy Medical Center and Mount Mercy University have partnered to invest in nursing students while providing them with professional experience and a career pathway.
The MercyReady partnership helps Mount Mercy students complete their degree with little to no debt, while also providing valuable, on-the-job experience. And, the opportunity to secure a full-time position immediately after graduation provides a clear pathway for your career.
As a student enrolled in Mount Mercy’s BSN program and depending on when you join Mercy and the MercyReady program, you may be eligible for more than $33,000 in education assistance and grants, plus additional bonuses and incentives. You will also have the opportunity to apply for additional scholarships through the Mercy Foundation.

Join Mercy as a patient care tech, paramedic or phlebotomist working 20 hours/month and be eligible for a $2,000 education grand and $2,000 in education assistance. ($4,000 total)
Continue (or join) Mercy as a junior working 20 hours/month as a patient care tech, paramedic or phlebotomist and be eligible for a $2,000 education grant and $5,000 in education assistance ($7,000 total).
Continue (or join) Mercy as a senior Mercy as a patient care tech, paramedic or phlebotomist working 20 hours/month and be eligible for a $2,000 education grant, up to $20,000 in education assistance and $600 toward NCLEX fees. Additionally, you will have a position at Mercy as an RN upon graduation.
As a new grad apprentice, you will receive 70% of your RN pay while you obtain your board certification.
A post-graduation commitment in an RN role at Mercy is required. Depending on when you join the program, the post-graduation commitment ranges from 9-18 months.
If you increase your post-graduation commitment to 24 months, students will also be eligible for an additional bonus.
