What is a parenting workshop?
The Parent Education Consortium has facilitated parenting workshops in the community since 1997. We use research/evidence based curriculum materials to help parents gain confidence in the development of caring, competent, healthy children. We even offer specialized classes on ADHD, divorce, step-parenting, co-parenting, grandparenting, and single parenting.
Why should my family participate?
Parenting isn’t easy and kids don’t come with a “how to” manual. We are here to help increase your parenting tools in areas YOU choose to learn more about. Examples of subjects covered:
What is provided in these FREE sessions?
Each session is led by a Parent Educator from the Parent Education Consortium. We provide a meal for the whole family, followed by a family friendly activity involving games, singing, dancing, arts & crafts. After our activity, parents gather for the workshop while the children play together with our experienced childcare staff.
