Your generosity is needed now to make important safety and comfort upgrades to Mercy’s mental health floor. Your gift today will help replace aged and deteriorating windows and beds, allowing us to better serve patients in our care. 

20 patient room windows must be replaced at a cost of $10,000 per window. These are special windows with heavy-duty glass, internal blinds and other important safety features. Many of the windows on Mercy’s inpatient mental health floor are original to that part of the hospital, built in 1953, which puts them at over 70 years old.

18 beds on the floor also need replacement at a cost of $4,000 per bed. The current beds are nearly 20 years old. Replacing them with modern, medical grade beds will improve patient comfort, safety and care.
