Your Giving Tuesday donation to the Mercy Foundation unites you with a global generosity movement!
Giving Tuesday takes place each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Your gift supports critical health needs and provides for the highest-quality, most advanced care possible. Your gift also carries on the compassionate and healing work that was initiated by the Sisters of Mercy 125 years ago.
All donations received through Giving Tuesday will be matched dollar for dollar by Fairfax State Savings Bank up to $25,000 total. This means your gift has the potential to help raise $50,000 or more.

Patrick Slater, president and CEO of Fairfax State Savings Bank, was moved to initiate this challenge for Giving Tuesday in 2021 after his recovery from quadruple bypass heart surgery at Mercy. View Patrick’s story here.
Patrick, his family and Fairfax State Savings Bank have a long-standing legacy of supporting Mercy, including financial gifts to Hospice of Mercy, HallMar Village, the Family Caregivers Center, the Especially for You® Race Against Breast Cancer, cardiac services and more. It’s a tradition that started with Patrick’s late father, David Neuhaus, who served on the Mercy Medical Center Board of Trustees 1983-2012.
Lisa Kloubec, vice president and operations manager of Fairfax State Savings Bank, works with Patrick and wanted to join in the promotion of Giving Tuesday this year, sharing her own story. Both Patrick and Lisa have experienced The Mercy Touch® in life-changing ways. The Giving Tuesday matching gift challenge is aimed at encouraging members of the community to join with them in supporting Mercy and its exceptional patient care.

Online donations made by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 will count toward the matching gift total. You may also give by check; just be sure to note that your gift is for Giving Tuesday.
