You can help Mercy replace and expand its fleet of wheelchairs – an essential tool to quality patient care.

Our commitment to patient-centered care means more than treatment—it means ensuring every step, from admission to recovery, is supported by the right tools.
One of the most essential yet often overlooked tools is the humble wheelchair.
Every day, dedicated staff and volunteers help hundreds of patients get to tests, procedures, and other appointments throughout Mercy utilizing wheelchairs. Many of these wheelchairs are worn from years of constant use.
Heavy outdated designs, squeaky wheels and stiff brakes slow us down – and more importantly, compromise the comfort and wellbeing of those in our care. You and your loved ones deserve to move through your healing journey with dignity, comfort and security.

These new wheelchairs are 100 times better than regular wheelchairs. They give a smooth ride through Mercy and they're easy for patients to get in and out of. Each day I volunteer here, I help at least 20 patients get where they need to go in the hospital by pushing them in these wheelchairs. They're substantial, but lightweight. The handles are up high so it's much easier on my back while I'm helping people.
-Steve, Mercy Volunteer
Each new wheelchair costs $5000. Your gift today will get us closer to our goal of 20 new, modern wheelchairs this year. Thank you!
