Tammy Buseman

Tammy Buseman is Director of Hospice. Her involvement with Hospice of Mercy began in 2005 as a hospice volunteer. Beginning in 2007, she served as a volunteer chaplain at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Then, in 2008, she joined the staff as a hospice chaplain; in 2011, Tammy was named director.

While at Mercy, Tammy has been a highly respected member of the Hospice interdisciplinary team having worked extensively with patients and their loved ones, physicians, nurses, social workers, clergy and volunteers. 

Prior to joining Hospice of Mercy’s staff, Tammy had 15 years of experience working in pastoral leadership positions in local churches in South Dakota and Iowa. As a local church pastor, Tammy supervised staff and volunteers, managed daily operations and developed vision and goals for the churches she served. She is an ordained clergyperson who has served in various regional denominational leadership teams as well as collegial ecumenical organizations in the communities in which she has served.
