Mercy opens new Integrative Medicine Center
Mercy Medical Center is now seeing patients in its new Integrative Medicine Center. The Center offers services that combine cutting-edge, conventional medicine with evidence-based, complementary and alternative approaches to healing.
The Integrative Medicine Center is physician-led under the direction of Suzanne Bartlett, MD, FACOG. Dr. Bartlett is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) and is finalizing a prestigious fellowship in integrative medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She will be Iowa’s first and the area’s only University of Arizona fellowship-trained Medical Doctor (MD) practicing Integrative Medicine.
"I am thrilled to join Mercy to provide a new type of service to patients in this area," Dr. Bartlett said. "Being able to offer evidence-based complementary and alternative therapy, in addition to conventional medicine is a unique and natural approach to prevention, wellness and healing chronic issues. This is the type of care plan that many people are currently seeking."
Mercy’s Integrative Medicine Center seeks to work in partnership with a patient and his or her primary care provider to identify the root of a condition and develop a care plan to naturally optimize the patient’s health. Medical treatment and resource options are available for a variety of female and male conditions, including:
- Chronic disease
- Gynecologic and hormonal issues
- Mood disorders

Additional services include:
