Published on January 29, 2014
Suzanne Bartlett, MD, FACOG, lead physician with Mercy Medical Center’s Integrative Medicine Center, has graduated from The Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Dr. Bartlett joins an elite group of practitioners to have initiated studies with this internationally recognized integrative medicine program. Launched in 1997 by integrative medicine pioneer Andrew Weil, MD, the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine is a 1,000-hour, two-year distance-learning program for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Dr. Bartlett is Iowa’s first and the area’s only University of Arizona fellowship-trained Medical Doctor (MD) practicing Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Bartlett is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN). She joined Mercy in September 2013 when the hospital opened its new Integrative Medicine Center. The Center offers services that combine cutting-edge, conventional medicine with evidence-based, complementary and alternative approaches to healing.
Mercy’s Integrative Medicine Center is located in the Women’s Center. Patients may call (319) 861-7832 to learn more about the services offered or to schedule an appointment. A physician referral is not required.
