Mercy Auxiliary hosts annual Spring Bazaar

The Mercy Auxiliary is pleased to announce its annual Spring Bazaar, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at Mercy Medical Center, located at 701 10th St. SE. This event is free and open to the public.

Attendees can browse a wide variety of unique, handcrafted items from local vendors that will be available for purchase in Mercy’s 10th Street lobby and Hallagan Education Center. Highlights include beautiful florals and bedding plants from Kroul Farms, along with seasonal home décor, garden art and many other distinctive, one-of-a-kind products.

For those looking for a tasty treat, an assortment of glazed pecans, cashews and almonds from Iowa Nutty will also be available.

This year, raffle tickets will be sold on site for exciting prizes, including a Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball suite for up to 20 guests, as well as various gift cards and donated items from local businesses and restaurants. All raffle prizes are valued at more than $500.

The Spring Bazaar is a key fundraising event for the Mercy Auxiliary. Proceeds directly benefit patient care services, such as providing HALO sleep sacks for every newborn at Mercy Birthplace. Throughout the past 70 years, the Mercy Auxiliary has proudly contributed more than $6 million to Mercy Medical Center, funding vital technological advancements and various hospital projects.
