Mercy’s Kathy Good recognized With 2024 Worldmaker Community Weaver Award
Mercy Medical Center is pleased to announce that Kathy Good – senior director of The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia and the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy – has been named a 2024 Worldmaker Honoree. Recognized with the Community Weaver Award, Good joins other honorees who are actively dedicated to collaboration, equity and connection.
The Community Weaver Award is presented to individuals who exemplify community-based collaboration, thereby fostering a sense of belonging for all. Good typifies these qualities, having dedicated her life to supporting caregivers by creating spaces where they can find the resources and encouragement they need. Her efforts to celebrate diversity and inclusion, while also deepening social trust within the Cedar Rapids community, embody the spirit of the Community Weaver honor.
“Worldmaker is thrilled to shine a light on Kathy’s extraordinary work in uplifting people and building stronger, more resilient communities,” said Dr. Mollie Marti, CEO of Worldmaker, who has worked with Kathy to build resilience in care-provider communities. “Her unwavering commitment to creating meaningful connections through her work at the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy reflects the heart of what the Community Weaver Award represents.”
The Worldmaker Awards, now in their third year, are a global recognition program spotlighting remarkable individuals who make a difference in their communities. The 2024 awards were announced on December 19.
