Upcoming Iowa PBS Programs Spotlight Local Caregivers
Kathy Good, senior director of The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia of Mercy and co-founder of the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy, will be among those featured in two upcoming programs on Iowa PBS.
The two Iowa PBS programs will explore and showcase the lives of individuals in caregiving roles for adults with chronic conditions, including dementia:
- Community Conversations With Iowa Life: Caring for Caregivers: At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, Good will participate alongside other Iowa caregiving experts during a live panel hosted by Iowa PBS’ Charity Nebbe. The event will include both in-person and virtual discussion surrounding the challenges and compassion involved with caregiving. Registration to attend is available on the Iowa PBS website.
- “Iowa Life” series: At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, Good and local caregivers attending a recent Women’s Caregiver Coffee event at the DeWolf Innovation Center will be highlighted during an episode focusing on caregiving.
